A note on financial accessibility
(and a couple of open spots)
Good Ones,
As we get close to the start of the Spring Tending Sessions, I wanted to share something I haven’t spoken about directly yet — and also briefly ground us again in what this offering actually is.
The Tending Sessions aren’t a course you move through or a system to keep up with.
They’re a small, steady container for staying in relationship with your creative work — especially when life is… lifey.
We begin with a Seasonal Reset: a gentle way to look back, clear space, and turn toward what wants to grow.
Then every other week, we gather — not to report progress or perform, but to stay connected, with gentle witnessing.
We also use simple practices over the season:
small, doable creative time
choosing where to place care
noticing when you’ve drifted and returning without drama
You don’t fall behind here.
You just keep returning.
There are still a couple of spaces open — and I know that for some of you, the deciding factor isn’t whether the work resonates, but whether it feels financially doable.
This offering is structured with that in mind.
Remaining spots are offered at a lower cost for those who need it, which helps make the space more financially accessible while keeping the group full.
There are two options within that:
Equity spots ($60)
For folks with very little discretionary income, where this would otherwise be out of reach. This amount simply covers the cost of the planner and shipping.
Sliding-scale spots ($200–$450)
For those who have some resources but can’t stretch to the full rate, and want to contribute at a level that feels both possible and respectful of the work.
A small, really lovely group is already coming together — a mix of returning folks and new faces, writers and visual artists — and I’d love to round out the group before we begin.
We start April 7, meeting from 1–3pm PDT. There’s a bit of preparation to ease into the season, so it’s best to apply soon if you’d like to join us.
In the meantime, wishing you a lovely long weekend ahead.
Good things,
Jill
P.S. I’m using Substack right now for once-or-twice-a-season notes like this. Come autumn, it will become something else — rooted in beauty, seasonality, slowness, justice, and care.

Thank you for this flexibility. Jill!
Your studio is looking beautiful and welcoming. Thanks for the clarity on the tending sessions so we can share with those who might benefit!
